Also in the history are the confederates who were elected but not seated by Congress. I hope that when the Dems take back the House in 2024, they will refuse to seat MTG, Scott Perry, Boebert, Jordan & the rest of the insurrectionists.

I have to imagine the SCOTUS recognizes that this is a big can of worms they're about to open. IF they decide Trump should be disqualified from being on the ballot, the next obvious targets are MTG, Boehbert, Jordan, Perry, Hawley, Cruz, Johnson, etc. And then you have to take a close look at Judge Thomas based on Ginny's activities that day and leading up to it.

Also three former GOP governors Marc Racicot of Montana, William Weld of Massachusetts, and Christine Todd Whitman of New Jersey say in an amicus brief that Trump should be disqualified.

Last night I downloaded and read the entire 42 page brief submitted by the historians. Extremely well thought out, documented and written. It’s the first SC brief I’ve ever read in its entirety. Worth the time to read.

If it isn’t for four and potentially six of the constitutional deniers on the court, it would be a slam dunk decision.
