What is the best way for us as citizens to continue to express our disapproval of the bizarre decisions of the trump administration - like this one - and his grotesque choices being currently considered by the Senate Judiciary Committee? Continue writing to my rep (Mark Pocan) and senators (Tammy Baldwin and Ron Johnson)? Send emails to every member of the senate judiciary committee saying we are seeing what you are doing and will vote accordingly when you come up for re-election? I think it's so important to keep disagreeing vocally and registering our disagreement, so that we are never seen as readily complying. Thoughts?
A family member has worked as a lawyer with AID for 17 years. One morning He got an e mail instructing him to fire employees without cause. He refused to do it as it would be unlawful to do so. That afternoon he got notice to take a leave of absence ( and possibly be fired!). THey have just bought a house in DC and they have two small boys!
This is right out of the Project 2025 playbook and reeks of Nazi procedures.
What can we do? Will resisting stop this madness? I hope the courts will prevent this abject injustice but can we rely on judges, the DOJ, the Supreme Court?
I believe Trump is being used as a puppet to carry out the generations of deranged plans by the Federalist Society, the Heritage Foundation , and the John Birch Society and Tea Party of years ago!!
The goal is to get rid of government and put power in the hands of the Oligarchs with a popular figure head to carry out the dirty work. It seems like this plan is succeeding.
The really demoralizing part of this whole thing is that while our elected Dems might not be able to accomplish anything on their own without Rs to help, but they can sure speak up. They should be standing in front of microphones decrying this, but absent a few words from Chris Murphy, I have seen no other senators even utter a word. The house has AOC calling them out. Ds need to speak with a united voice, nonstop, and for goodness sake Senators, PLEASE stop voting for the nominees! Make the Rs own this on their own!
