It has occurred to me that at some point, the Project 2025 goons may get a clue and remove access to the now readily accessible document. If we haven’t already done so, it would be a good idea to download load the awful thing so we have the documentation.
Also, there is now starting to be a trickle of MSM and a stream of SubStack writings about this evil plot to destroying or democracy, our personal freedoms, and our way of life. I am hoping that these writings are the beginning of the avalanche that will bury the Heritage Foundation and their co-conspirators along with trump.
I would love to see a web site with curated writings from serious analyses of this blue print for destroying our country. Writings from this SubStack and from Andra Walters’, and Joyce Vance, and several others that are starting to comment, as well as MSM (when it happens). Andra Walters is doing yeoman’s work on this but she is one person who also has a day job. It would take someone or ones with the time, the tech savvy, and the wherewithal to achieve it. Make it easily accessible to the average vote and get the word out, get the word out, get the word out. Every time anyone writes an article or a comment about Project 2025, they would reference the website. As many of us have found out, the document itself consists of mind numbing convoluted hidden in plain sight obfuscation prose. Most voters are not going to read the document. Hence the need for a source to help them understand it. And to understand that it will go into effect on the first day of ANY Republican presidency, not just trump.
Politically retire Trump and his enablers in Congress and state legislatures. Tie every candidate with an ‘R’ after their name on the ballot to Trump and Project 2025. Apply a simple logic test: Candidate endorsed Trump / Trumpism is Project 2025 / Therefore Candidate is pro-Project 2025.
Don’t let ‘Rs’ control the conversation. Make it all about the evils of Project 2025 applied at all levels on the ballot.
Only solution is to become a Democratic party that to united. Do whatever you can to support Biden/Harris ticket. You can do this monetarily, phone banks, texts, letter or postcard writing. Don’t forget to help representatives and senators especially in the swing states. Together, we can save our Democracy for our future generations.
As a freethinker/atheist I need to express my concerns. When I look at the long list of topics of concern circulated by politicians I never see freedom from religion mentioned. With the concept of religious nationalism mentioned and the GOP push to take over public education and make it Christian education I have serious concerns.
The non-religious now represent about 30% of our population. I frequently hear the call for Christian religious freedom tied directly to freedom of speech. How can freedom of religion exist in America when we have a political party that advocates our government endorsing and financing a Calvinist brand of Christianity?
Why are are politicians just ignoring the constitutional separation of church and government. I want not only religious freedom for the 5,000 Christian denominations and other world religions but freedom from religion to be protected for the atheists and agnostic communities. Historically religion was government, expressed in the combination of nobility, rule by kings and churches.
I have great concerns about the potential of the GOP, actually advocating for aristocracy, the rule byNobles, and those Nobles being the one percent who are funding the Republican project 2025.
Is everybody afraid to talk about the possibility of the religious Civil War where Calvinistic Christianity is forced on the American population. We’ve seen this in the 1800s in the 1930s and the 1950s and now we’re seeing it rearing its ugly head in the 21st-century of religious nationalism is very clear in the republican project 2025 protecting religious freedom and Freedom From Religion is the number one priority on the top of my Presidential to do list, but it seems like everyone is afraid to mention the elephant in the room. I’m much more afraid of Calvinistic evangelicals than I am the threat of burning in hell forever unless I serve, some imaginary God only has humans to speak for him.
The GOP playbook is at least consistent. Always create the straw person by giving them a falsely critical title. Acting as if Marxism is even a thing, as if socialism is a thing, etc. The level of GOP overreach into the living, bed rooms and libraries of every American is scary as hell.
Extremism is on both side of the political bell curve and, in my opinion is even worse on the right.
I know some Trumpers who are now telling me that Trump has nothing to do with 2025 and it is a plot to make him look bad! But we knew we could never change the mind of a Trump cult believer. 45 tells them what they want to hear and they think he loves them and is their savior. It’s the same truck illusionists, Narcissist and master manipulators use all the time. Read “Win Bigly” by Scott Adams for more information.
All good. Does it make sense to draft GOTV plans for the largest urban and suburban counties starting with voter registration? Then, identify critical issues such as affordable housing and renewable, lower cost energy to set as policy priorities?
The brilliant analysis here is spot on. But I think your imaginations of dystopian future events open eyes wider and grab lasting attention.
The reference to Marx in the third item on Trump's Agenda47 ("Removing all Marxist diversity, equity and inclusion bureaucrats") may strike readers as coo-coo at a time when Communism appears to be a spent force globally. Here's a very brief explanation for the benefit of the uninitiated.
In simplest terms, cultural Marxism's origin story begins with the failure of Marxist Leninist ideology to bring about a worldwide revolution in which the proletariat's capture of the means of production was supposed to bring about a Communist utopia. Unwilling to concede defeat, various disaffected intellectuals came up with the idea of bringing about a Marxist revolution by capturing the social institutions, particularly those that are the means of intellectual production. DEI is seen as the ideal vehicle because it proliferates within and among organizations like ideological kudzu.
Here's how the Heritage Foundation explains it in the source cited above:
"The United States has successfully confronted Marxist attempts to derail it from its historic path of liberty and order. The multifaceted effort to defeat the enemy, generally referred to as the Cold War, concentrated many of the best minds in the country. In 1991, when the Soviet Union dissolved, many Americans and others around the globe justifiably believed that communism had been defeated. However, American Marxists, making use of the complacency that victory often produces, have gained more influence than ever before. Cloaking their goals under the pretense of social justice, they now seek to dismantle the foundations of the American republic by rewriting history; reintroducing racism; creating privileged classes; and determining what can be said in public discourse, the military, and houses of worship. Unless Marxist thought is defeated again, today’s cultural Marxists will achieve what the Soviet Union never could: the subjugation of the United States to a totalitarian, soul-destroying ideology. "
Anti-racism and wokeness? That's cultural Marxism. Gender identity ideology? Ditto. DEI? That too. Safe spaces and trigger warnings? Of course they're a product of cultural Marxism. CRT? Good Heavens, yes!!
At the moment, one James A. Lindsay is the leading anti-cultural Marxism crusader. Wikipedia says this about Lindsay in its introduction to its entry on him:
"James Stephen Lindsay (born June 8, 1979[1]), known professionally as James A. Lindsay,[2] is an American author. He is known for the grievance studies affair, in which he, Peter Boghossian and Helen Pluckrose submitted hoax articles to academic journals in 2017 and 2018 to test scholarship and rigor in several academic fields.[3] Lindsay has written several books including Cynical Theories (2020), which he co-authored with Pluckrose. He has promoted right-wing conspiracy theories such as Cultural Marxism and LGBT grooming conspiracy theories.[4][5][6][7]" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_A._Lindsay
All conspiracy theories are alike in that they're divorced from reality while maintaining plausible links to it. Perhaps the biggest hole in the cultural Marxism conspiracy theory is the absence of an American Marxist movement known to be pursuing revolutionary goals though social justice projects such as DEI. There's a reason people such as Mr. Lindsay and Christopher Rufo haven't yet announced that they have a list of leading cultural Marxists embedded in American institutions
Anyone wishing to understand today's identity politics, which includes DEI and the Heritage Foundations other cultural bugbears, should avoid James A. Lindsay's output in favor of Yascha Mounk's "The Identity Trap."

Thanks. It is a good start.
Excellent summary of 2025's toxicity & advice to counter it, David.

Biden's running against Project 2025, not Trump.
Here's an ad script:
"Project 2025 quote" with page # and audio of quote being read
dated video of Trump supporting quote
dated video of Trump deny he supports quote
Biden front on to camera says "Not on my watch"

Not “to” but is united. My editor keeps stepping out on me.

Many on the right believe in the existence of cultural Marxism. Not surprisingly, the Heritage Foundation is so on top of it that they've published a report titled "How Cultural Marxism Threatens the United States—and How Americans Can Fight It." https://www.heritage.org/progressivism/report/how-cultural-marxism-threatens-the-united-states-and-how-americans-can-fight

Project 2025 is not an American project and will not be invoked in 2025... DISCUSS! Loudly and in ALL public forums!
