Thank you David for a well documented in-depth discussion on this subject. It also calls out the hair splitting and legal pretzel making lengths Justices on the Supreme Court have used and some continue to use. Chief Justice John Roberts is well known for his attack on voting rights. The Court’s textualists sure know how to cherry pick.
Wow what a fascinating read. Having lived in Rochester I knew about Cady Stanton and Susan b Anthony but not about Virginia minor. We sure have come a long way but we still have a long way to go.
Wonderful article about the suffragists David. - It is absolutely important that ERA will become the 28th Amendment to the Constitution. the Equal Rights Amendment would provide a fundamental constitutional remedy against race, sex, etc. discriminations by guaranteeing that legal rights may not be abridge on account of these rights.
I, and likely several others, had heard of Virginia Minor because we 'audited' your Voting Rights course last term. Always good to have a review, especially when one is not used to reading the ins and outs of legal cases.

Can't thank you enough, David for these easy to understand history lessons.
My mind boggles that you can keep all this history organized, David. Thank you again for keeping things in perspective. Power to the People!
To ALL the People!

Thanks for sharing this interesting history. I knew parts but not all of this story.
(An improvement for the last paragraph:
Anthony’s and her legal strategy… )
