One of the obvious reasons for people to "invest" in this is to pass money to Trump "legally" (I suppose) so they really don't care if it crashes - that's what passing money means. The reason for it to go so high isn't purely Trump's name and any faith in his business acumen but the belief that he Is crooked and that he Will provide favors for those who use this as well as other avenues to pass him money. He might as well have used a table (as in under-the fame) as the image for the crypto.

Pump & Dump stock schemes has always been a very popular Russian mafia strategy to raise money to pay Putin’s royalties. It started under Yeltsin’s privatization of the state owned industries, spread throughout Eastern Europe, and now the West. Given control of the SEC, Department of Labor Statistics, Treasury, and Congress’s ability to participate in insider trading…. our country is about to turn to ___________?

@ 20:48 is a really important statement. Everything Donnie has threatened will take part in blue states to weaken their economies to weaken their Democratic Governors and Congress critters. This is another way Putin solidified his power early in his first terms.

I keep saying this. They have laid many seeds in the Blue states and are going to come for them hard next. I am pretty sure they aren't ready.

Anybody else- ANYBODY else- would have been immediately stopped, and probably arrested. Bernie Maddoff is smiling down in Hell right now, as is Roy Cohn.

People aren't talking enough about how profoundly destabilizing to the US economy (and perhaps the world) crypto is. Even if it doesn't happen through carelessness and speculation, such an enormous financial organism can be used for nefarious purposes . . . to purposely bring down all or a portion of an economy.

It's not just the speculators themselves who will suffer. It's the entire country, including those of us who refuse to gamble and others who bet their lives on crypto. Like the lottery, it ultimately shakes down to become a regressive tax on poor people . . . as JVL called it, a pyramid scheme. But unlike Madoff investors, most people are able to partake of crypto in some fashion, not just the robber barons.

Americans have decided that they don't like regulation. "Live free or die" will become "Remember the Alamo." There will be a price exacted from all this foolishness.
