This is exactly the sort of action folks from Massachussetts can do, David. Contribute. Are there other State Democratic Parties you respect to which we might also direct fiscal support...Arizona, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, or Michigan? Or would you recommend other ways to contribute to those 4 states?
Big fan of David Pepper here, and member/fan of Blue Ohio, Blue Missouri, and Blue Tennessee. The states you mention -- AZ, WI, PA, MI -- are states that The States Project is focused on. Our group, Markers For Democracy, has a giving circle which is raising for Arizona and Pennsylvania, and there are other giving circles focused on other states. Here is an article from today's NYT about The States Project. https://www.nytimes.com/2024/04/08/us/politics/wisconsin-legislature-democrats-spending.html And we are having an event tonight with Daniel Squadron, founder of The States Project. (It overlaps with David's event with Turn PA Blue but you could double zoom! https://www.mobilize.us/markersfordemocracy/event/610917/
Kate Barr's situation is so totally frustrating. The redrawn 37th district amounts to legal theft. Gerrymandering should be illegal, and all states should have a neutral commission to draw state legislative and congressional district boundaries. Letting politicians draw those boundaries is an absolute conflict of interests, making the process ripe for abuse. NC is known for its surgically gerrymandered districts, which is another way of saying we are known for having corrupt politicians.
David, thank you for spotlighting what needs to happen in Missouri. Jess Piper, Blue Missouri, and you give me hope. I have felt like I was drowning in a red sea in Northwest Missouri with no realistic choices on ballots.
Great stories David. Makes me wish I had the resources to support each of the 135 separately, but, since I don't, I support Blue Missouri with what I can.
Thanks for bringing light to our stories, David. I can gladly say I am a Democrat candidate in good company. It was great to meet you this weekend.
This makes me so happy to be a Blue Missouri member.

I agree with Ellen, Diane. The States Project and Markers provide great ways to strategically help in all these states.
Thank you, Ellen. Superb information.
Mr Pepper, check out “Katie Barr Can’t Win” in NC. Previous Senator’s district surgically rearranged to preclude any hope of a Democratic win.

And thank you, David, for your continuing fight to save democracy. We shall overcome!
This is brilliant...thank you for sharing these stories, and for showcasing these courageous candidates.
Don't forget Jess Piper.
