I'm a retired health professional and this particular subject drives me crazy because it's just so unnecessary and destructive. Dante has a special place for self-serving politicians who don't care if people die (they did) as long as they can grab for power.
I grew up in Ohio next to sane conservatives. This group in no way matches them. It's a malicious cold-blooded breed that reviles social cooperation, which vaccines require to succeed. Either that, or these folks are stoned on the kool-aid themselves (Trump often is).
I'm not sure where the zealotry and opportunism intersect as politicians devolve into monsters, but if we survive, it will be studied by psychologists and sociologists for a long time. If people don't figure this out fast, microbes will be the only thing left on this planet.
