David, many thanks for your talk yesterday at the League in OC. I have shared your school voucher explanation with about 20 people so far, and everyone was unaware except my sister, who's a teacher in IL. I also spoke with a neighbor, when walking dogs, about the Board of Education election. He got the point, and was concerned. Then he said, "I'm actually politically agnostic." My response, "It's not about partisanship, it's about being pro-Democracy." He nodded and said, hadn't thought about it that way. THANK YOU for talking about in a different way.

The word you may be looking for is “straw man argument” when a person draws attention to a false alarm in order to maneuver ahead unnoticed. Love the chess metaphor. DeWine plays his genteel prudent Ohioan schtick as well as Householder played the hayseed. The press fall for it every single day multiple times a day. Thank you for your due diligence and research David.

If anyone knows of a better reason to vote ALL Republicans out of any office, please let me know. Follow the money, and you'll find Republican operatives lurking in the shadows. I'm forwarding this post to all my retired teacher friends; this should get very interesting.

All the appointed STRS board members are to be INVESTMENT EXPERTS. Wade Steen was a CPA and did an excellent job serving. I have asked STRS, Ohio Retirement Study Council and others to explain the “Investment Expertise “ Claudia Herrington and Dr. Scott Hunt have making them eligible to serve. Mums the word. As far as I can tell the are not.
