As an Ohioan, I appreciate getting a closer look at what's taking place in the state and receiving advice on actions to take to advocate accordingly.

I agree MJ. Here in Ohio we have a cesspool for State Government. I really appreciate when David keeps us informed of what the shady Repubs are doing to further damage things.

I think it is important that we fight on every hill every day. We can no longer choose our battles, otherwise there will be no hills left. DOGE, immigration, the attacks on rule of law etc need to be defended LOUDLY every day.

Right now, I need all the pro-Democracy voice that I can read or listen to every day. Thanks for being one of those voices.

I live in Iowa and, after reading your books "Labratories... and Saving Democracy..., I became more involved in politics. I even ran (unsucessfully) for a state representative seat. I see Iowa being only a few steps behind Ohio in our governmental corruption. It is hard to see hope for our future, but I am arming myself (and others) with information to fight the greed and misinformation. Thanks for all you do!

Hi Professor Pepper - I'm in California, and especially appreciate your updates on what's going on in Ohio. I get more than 20 substack/other informative emails every day - and check out other podcasts 1-2x/day - but reading is usually lots faster for me. Your monthly paid subscriber cost is a bit high, I think - considering the main focus on Ohio - $4-$6 might be more do-able considering the 8-10 subscriptions I'm currently paying for. Thank you so very much & best wishes to you!

David, thank you for your insight and for sharing with us! As someone who is on the go and on many substack and other mailing lists, I love the ability to listen to your views in any way I can get them! If there is a video I am watching. If there is a podcast I am listening. Thank you for making it accessible to those of us road warriors.

I live in North Carolina and really value what I learn from you about the corrupt politics in Ohio. When you are able to apply what’s going on in your state to other Republican-captured states like mine, that’s the most valuable to me.

This is fantastic growth, David, and so well deserved! I’m ecstatic that others outside of Ohio get to learn from you!!

Two things: first, a balanced approach to state/federal coverage is really important. We can't afford to lose site of what's being done to us here in Ohio, while being able to see how that relates to the damage being done nationally. Second, in regards to the podcast version: I prefer to read, but I often forward the newsletter to my 85 yr old mother and she is losing her vision, so an audio format is really useful.

What recourse is there if he ignores court orders? Ive been counting on the courts.. so does he have to rehire fed workers he fired? If he disibeys courts including supreme what than?

I would like for you to advertise ahead of time if you’re speaking somewhere. We missed your talk to South Dayton Dems because we didn’t know you were coming

Presidential Standards? While walking our dog, we ran into a neighbor who's an ethicist, which made me think (but not mention; politics talk is banned from conjugal dog walks) about the amazing changes in Presidential expectations in just one lifetime. For about 200 years, national "ethics" required certain "character" in our leader: e.g., a divorced man could not be elected president, and of course never had been/would be. Now, we have "progressed" to a famous NYC publicity hound betraying his (3rd) wedding vows, and being convicted of falsifying hush payments to an adult film star/sex partner as campaign "legal expenses", and yet comfortably winning election to the highest office.

When I click links in the text that will take me to another page, I get a message that your site has redirected me too many times, and it won't open the link. There's always a suggestion that I delete cookies, which I have done, but it didn't help. I wonder if it happens to others, or if you can suggest a way around it because some of them I'd really like to look at.
