I believe the R’s who silently oppose Tramp do so because they 100% believe the death threats they’ve received are not only possible but probable. This is not openly being talked about enough. How do we deal with a mob boss who IS enforcing his will through violence and the threat of violence that stymies opposition?

Yet, I’ve seen several references to this being shared with Dems as the reason for the R’s changes of heart and their revocations of their appropriate anger expressed in the immediate aftermath of the attempted coup. Try this on for Reference one- intent to hang the VP. You saw that right? Reference 2 - Do you remember the attack on Paul Pelosi? The one that was supposed to at (the least) maim Nancy by breaking her knees with a hammer?

I agree with everything you say about the failure to take on Trump. So my question is this: are the Democrats 'spineless' in their aversion to confrontation? Why do they seem so unwilling to fight for their values?
Thank you for pinpointing EXACTLY what the situation is and what we need to do about it. The bottom line is , trump is not a politician, never was one and never will be. The rules of engagement don’t apply to him, he as much acts like it without saying it. But it’s right there in front of us. What we have to do is respond accordingly. Don’t treat him like a politician. Treat him like a major threat to America because he is one. And taken to the next step logically, his supporters are not political supporters. They are his cult members so don’t treat them like they’re ordinary political opponents. They are a threat to America. If he doesn’t play by our political rules we shouldn’t either. Now he has the federalist society behind him which is a legitimate organization. That doesn’t mean they any less a threat, just an enemy to our freedoms in conservative clothing.
The bottom line is the only way to defeat him for good is to defeat him in November resoundingly within the rules of engagement so it will stand up to ANY test MAGA would throw at it, legitimate or illegitimate from any court. Do you hear that DNC? Quit screwing around, get behind Biden and do it!
Biden had a bad debate night. He thought he had to fill the 2 min with fact, where he had laryngitis or some voice problem going on. Actually he should have filled it with correcting the criminally insane person he faced. Here are simple facts that were easy to discern. 2. He has convinced himself that, Biden's ads made up that he called Vets Losers and Suckers, excuse me but we have all watched the tape of him saying it, more than once.
3. He called up the National guard ahead of the Jan. 6th Riot and had them on standby. The whole world watched, as people were begging him to call in help for the Capitol Police. Instead people were bludgeoned and some died .
