My position is completely binary: this iteration of the GOP must be eviscerated everywhere.

There are non-MAGA Republicans in Georgia, who are competent, rebuffed Trump's attempts to overturn democracy, but 1) they fully support voter suppression, 2) Georgia's governor (who has been clear about the danger of Trump) said last week that he'd support Trump if he was the 2024 GOP nominee.

There are no moderate Republicans. They all have or will bend to Trumpism (bigotry, homophobia, transphobia, xenophobia, antisemitism, racism, corporations over workers).

Voting blue every single local, state, judicial, federal, special election is the only leverage we have. Democracy will be won or lost at the state and local levels.

Thank you for this. I sit here in Virginia, angry at Gov. Youngkin (who also led Virginia out of ERIC); but now wondering at the nascent networks and operatives who are working to operationalize his campaign to divide further the Commonwealth and look to higher office. It’s more than the candidates, it’s the people and money waiting to support them.

You “nailed it”, again, David! Thank you! I/ we observed LaRose, lie and dissemble, up close during testimony for fair maps, and all of what you describe here is absolutely accurate!

Goes both ways, huh? Trumpism is Republicanism and Republicanism is Trumpism!

Do not paint it any other color than what you see! Do not escape it! Point it out!

The people who love the Constitution and our Democracy have a big job ahead!

David, Your article describing LaRose is absolutely the truth. Every Ohioan must know how canning and manipulator this individual is. We must stop him from being a Senator representing us.

Another JD Vance I’m afraid.
