Did the interviewer confront him on these things? She should have used your techniques on how to interview trump. Stop the interview at the first lie and don't move on!

Good ol' Ohio, trying even harder to be THE most corrupt State in the Union! At this rate, I think they just might make it, if they're not already there. Thank you, Mr. Pepper, for pointing this one out. I hope everyone does as I did, and shares it everywhere.

Is this part of the Issue 1 deal that was soundly defeated? I’m getting overwhelmed by all the fronts to be fought on.

No. Issue 1 is about women’s health care. David is talking about Husted and DeWine’s power grab on Ohio State Education Department.

Thanks, Christine, for setting me straight. I don’t live in Ohio but had participated in the reproductive rights postcard campaign to defeat Issue 1. But now I read that there will be a new Issue 1 in November which pro-choice organizations favor! Talk about confusing.

I believe yes! This was the August Special Election to ensure power to Republicans so voters would have less chance to change the Ohio Constitution. It was about trying to limit abortion rights but many are convinced that it was really about preventing the anti-gerrymandering amendment that will be in the ballot in 2024.

Oh, thank you for the further clarification. I thought there was more to it. So it's a good thing we defeated it in August, right? It almost seems like whack-a-mole, eh?

And now I have educated myself on this issue, I’m appalled at the machinations. Definitely in favor of the new ISSUE 1 and wish only that I could vote in Ohio. Online I found a very clear description of what’s been happening there, which unfortunately seems to split on party lines. I believe all thinking women will vote YES this time, regardless of what their party leaders may push. Women and their doctors are the only entities who should be involved. I cannot believe we have to fight this battle all over again (having lived pre-Roe and campaigned vigorously for change). So much for settled law and precedent😱.

An honorary degree from a high school? Wow, what a premium honor, even if the high school is not a scam.

Curious to know how the rest of Ohio media is covering this. Are they repeating his untrue framing, or are they pointing out the inconsistencies?

I just scanned through the Plain Dealer from last week and didn’t see anything about it. Columbus Dispatch may have something on it.
