Thank you for stating that history repeats itself. If I have to hear another person quote the saying that history doesn’t repeat but it rhymes…🤦 We keep letting history repeat and aren’t learning our lessons from it!

Terrific Job here this morning ☕ President Roosevelt was as savior of our Nation and the American people. His legacy lives on through many of the Social programs we enjoy and depend on today. Thank You and will reStack ASAP 🇺🇸💙🌊

Thank you for posting this reminder, David. There is nothing new under the sun. We’ve been through this before and will come through it again.

Thank you, David, for this reminder of what true statesmanship is capable of. Can any of us imagine our low bar beholden politicians speaking as FDR did here? And he was half crippled by polio, unlike old "heel spurs." This was an example of solid, true compass leadership, speech sincere with dedication, unlike the phoniness and superficiality most employ today because they don't want to get trapped into...gasp...committal on anything specific.

There were some things to criticize about FDR, for instance, his personal dalliances (who among us is perfect?). And some may even disagree with his policies, which were often astoundingly successful and lasting. Here was a rich man, daring to criticize concentration of wealth. Here was a man who rose above his physical challenges to focus on larger things. Here was a man who dared to dream larger, to solve the worst economic crisis America had faced and set things aright.

I have to ask: how many of today's Republicans, who have been propagandized into demonizing FDR, could not agree with the speeches here? I'm sure that the Founders would approve.
