Lots of scary things, as always in 2025, but the worst is right at the end of your post, David. I'm increasingly concerned that we are losing all our actual, historical allies and will only be aligned at all with BRICS nations whose governments and oligarchs want to cannibalize us. I saw last night that Judge Chutkan is having a hearing on whether Elon has the legal power to do what he's doing, maybe she will help turn the momentum back 🙏

How much are the Ohio politicians spending of the state tax dollars fighting this?!? A pox upon them!

There is clearly a move to privatize and cut Medicaid subsidy. Texas has a House Bill introduced to trigger that response as well...just waiting for the green light from Cheetolini and his Minions.

This is another example of Republicans screwing their own constituents. When will they realize they’ve been brainwashed ?

Re: the Vance/Hegseth speeches...Frankly, Europe should embrace a decoupling from US influence, particularly as EU members over the years have lent their militaries as Nato "partners" in the American's shitty wars beginning with Korea, and all the way to Iraq, Afghanistan, with stops at Libya and Syria.

TRump and Vance are saying that it's down to you, Europe, and I say that's a long time coming. I mean, the Warsaw Pact dissolved over 35 years ago, while Nato staggers on, stocked with time-servers, "warocrats", sniveling US suckups, the whole bloody

lot.

Charles de Gaulle was right back in 1966 when he pulled France out of Nato...right idea, bad politics as it turned out. Today,

the time is indeed right, so go for it, EU...welcome to the 21st Century

Why did you not include info and the letter from US Attorney Danielle Sassoon who quit first when asked to submit a request to dismiss the case against mayor Asians of NYC in your recap?

Once again attorney Marc Dann representing the people against government abuse, as he often does against corporate abuse too. He's become one of the country's leading consumer advocates. He also showed he was on the side of the people while in the Ohio Senate. But when he was in a position to help people as the Democratic Ohio attorney general in 2008, Ohio's Democratic leaders railroaded him out of office after he'd been there only about 14 months. They used as their excuse a ridiculous sex "scandal" involving not Dann but one of his managers. And since the 2010 statewide elections, Republicans have continuously controlled Ohio's state government while representing corporate and right-wing religious interests. Ohio's Democratc leaders seemed to prefer risking that result to allowing a truly populist Democratic attorney general to remain in office. Apparently, permitting that situation to continue was too much of a threat to their ability to obtain large corporate campaign contributions. This is part of why Ohio has turned into such a Trump-loving red state. People didn't see the state's Democratic leaders as representing them anymore, while Trump talked as if he did. And they don't give a damn about Trump's long and actual history of sexual abuse.

I can’t seem to find it. It’s not in the Substack article I read from yesterday.
