What welcome news!

A question for a future post: how to make the philosophy of “running everywhere” a long-term baseline for every election instead of a pilot that burns out after one or two cycles?

I think if we’re met some early successes, the program will continue. Remember Howard Dean had the “50 State Strategy” in the early 2000s, which I wish we had utilized in full. We wouldn't have been in this situation if we had.

That’s exactly the precedent I had in mind. Dean’s strategy didn’t outlast him even though it worked. It was too easy for the next set of party leaders to close up run-everywhere operations they evidently thought were marginal investments.

So my question is, how to make running everywhere such a core part of what the party does that a few years down the road, it would be unthinkable not to?

That’s great. Looking for a Democratic candidate to run against David Joyce in Ohio District 14. Anyone declaring before the 20th? Getting my Masters in political psychology next Spring and so ready to work.

This is a bottom up movement. School boards, county judges, county supervisors, state legislature. Voter education is equally important - sniff out the stealth hidden agenda candidates. OPERATION BLUEMAP

Just to note that it's not just the top races. I have a Democratic friend running for County Commissioner in (I believe) Van Zandt County, Texas, which is an election-denial MAGA stronghold. And she just might win.

We are not standing down in NC--we have a lot of work to do to turn things back around but we have renewed energy, in large part to her work! Thank you for highlighting it.

I love your work, I wish I could pay for a subscription. Thanx for having an unpaid version.

I’m running for office in my tiny northwest Georgia community, Georgia State House District 6 - (Part of a group called FIGHTING 50) just between you and me I probably won’t win, but I’m gonna make a fuss -as much of a fuss as I am supported to make- Our democracy is too important to sit this one out!

I’m training with Emerge Georgia and supported by HerTerm as well! Your Support will Really Make a difference!

bravo !! If one point raised by these candidates shakes the delusion of one of the 'safe" GOP voters in that state it will be worth the effort. Here's hoping they will shake many more.

I love reading good news like this. But this sentence → "They will have a candidate running in 84% of the statehouse seats—a 42% reduction from 2022 in the number of seats not contested by Democrats candidates." What on earth does that mean? 42% of what? 84% of how many? it almost appears as if you are trying to obfuscate the actual numbers.

And the sentence just before this one says, "As a result, they are contesting every statewide office."

But if they are contesting every statewide office, why are dems only running in 84% of statehouse seats?

Come on, give us numbers.

I look forward to the results of this hard work! Great job David on your dedication to saving democracy. I hope your message was received here in Ohio. I would love to see Gary Glick defeated next fall. We march on!
