I attend every school board meeting. Nobody else does until they vote to close a school and then the meeting is packed. My singular focus is to provide a counter-measure against anyone grabbing the mic and start talking book banning. So far, I have not had to speak nor have I been arrested for disorderly... but it’s only been two years... vigilant... every board meeting in every district in Ohio needs someone attending on watch...

Thank you for this. Please let any non-extremist school board candidates know that there is a new organization specifically founded to support non-extremist school board candidates. We have a ton of resources--both public and private--to help them understand school issues and how to campaign for school board. School board races aren't like others--they are supposed to be non-partisan and focused on very particular issues. We have a small but vibrant community of school board members, former members, candidates, and folks running school board races around the country. Many have faced and defeated extremists. The election is coming up! We have information that can help.

Look for wording on their yard signs such as "Parental Rights", or "Fair and Balanced". These are classic dog-whistling words; be aware of them.

Thanks for this! I was just thinking this morning that I needed to look up who's running/going to be on my ballot.
