David - Have you tried contacting Stacey Wideman, CLO at STRS Ohio, for comment as to the break taken by the Board, and then failure to properly adjourn or end the meeting? It should be interesting to see what the meeting minutes record when they are finally published. STRS doesn't mention an officer as "secretary" nor do they have a note as to whom takes the Board minutes, although the have a parliamentarian, being Jackie Compton-Bunch. Next meeting is set for May 15–17, 2024. Thanks for making this issue public.
I appreciate the attempt to make our courts safe for the accused, but when those protections are utilized to distort progress, it is tempting to wish to eradicate them entirely. Trumps' and Devine's obfuscations cause a good system to seem an ally to the bad. Sigh.
Our state is disgraceful. The will of the people means nothing to the GOP. Between this scandal and First Energy, you would think Ohio voters would kick them to the curb.
A literal sewer of gerrymandering, corruption, conflicts of interest, and corruption.
What a legacy for DeWine, and one that's largely been ignored or buried for years by legacy media.

A "good system" should prevent this sort of thing, but this ability to cheat with no fear of reprisals seems baked into our systems.

Corruption is a family affair here in Ohio. I wish I wasn’t too much of an optimist to move. I really believe that we can change things.
Indeed…sigh
