WHITEBOARD: Why To Vote Yes on Issue 1

Those who follow me here or elsewhere know how dishonest the campaign against Ohio’s Issue 1 is: the very politicians who illegally gerrymandered Ohio in recent years are now misleading citizens into thinking voting “No” somehow bans gerrymandering.

Which is a complete lie:

Voting “Yes” bans partisan gerrymandering and removes the politicians who gerrymandered our state from the process. Other states that have undertaken this type of reform have seen a far stronger democracy emerge as a result.

Voting “No” actually locks in the gerrymandered status quo. And Ohio’s decline simply continues.

Here’s the problem: some voters are confused by what they are saying, and by the manipulated language these lawless politicians managed to get onto the Ohio ballot (and that our broken Supreme Court allowed).

SO….I will be releasing a series of whiteboard videos clarifying why voting Yes on Issue 1 is actually the vote that ends partisan gerrymandering.
