Some good polls yesterday. Some decent ones this morning. Late deciders appear to be trending Kamala Harris’s way.
Let this give you hope. Do NOT let it make you complacent (and I know those who follow me here wouldn’t let that happen).
If we have momentum, it’s for the same reason we’ve had a winning streak ever since Dobbs. A winning streak that has defied history and polling.
And that reason is that we’ve channeled our outrage into action—grassroots activism wherever and whenever it’s been needed. All of us rowing in the same direction, election after election, year after year, state after state, race after race. We’ve outworked the other side, time and again.
So that’s our assignment for the next three days — keep rowing.
Keep going. One shift at a time. One voter at a time. That’s how we convert the most auspicious polls of late into actual outcomes on Tuesday.
Ironically, I looked up a few months ago to the paintings that sit behind me in my office and only then noticed they all involve rowing/paddling. I didn’t place them there for that reason, but clearly the theme inspired the paintings, as well as my choice of what paintings to surround myself with.
In addition to the one above, here they are:
Please post below the ways you will be rowing in the coming days:
I do like this serene painting. Something about the motion in the water struck me. Probably David prefers to create and hang these types of scenes because they're calming in a world that so desperately needs it.
The oar shadows are intriguing and the graduation into deeper blue with tints of red at the bottom make it look like the rower is at rest. Let's all take a breath. The weather looks good for much of the country on Tuesday!
Love the picture. Multiple teams out this weekend in Logan County, knocking on doors. Monday will be texting and/or phoning.
