The impact on women of registration hurdles has not gotten sufficient attention. Name changes due to marriage, divorce etc. make birth certificates inadequate to prove citizenship. Add to that, women with kids are likely β€œdouble shift” workers, leaving little time for digging up documents and going to govt offices during work hours. Ohio has its own version of the SAVE Act: SB 153 ("Ohio's SAVE Act") currently in committee. If you're an Ohioan, contact your state senator and oppose it. For the federal version, contact your senator! Unfortunately, Bernie Moreno is a co-sponsor.

Bottom line folks: allowing this enormous disenfranchisement to occur on OUR watch would cement in GOP power for ever and ever, amen.

This is malevolent, and it has to be seen as malevolent. It's not "libertarian," it's not "freedom" enhancing, and it's not constitutional.

Clearly see the predators for what they are.
