One of my favorite interview shows to do is C-SPAN’s Washington Journal—you know, the one where you take calls (texts and tweets too) from across the country, and from all sides of the political spectrum.
It reminds me of the old days of knocking on doors, where as a local candidate, I would knock on every door, regardless of party. It’s healthy (and informative) to have those conversations even if some can be difficult. And we have them far too rarely in politics these days, which only divides us further.
So this morning, I spent an hour on Washington Journal, and discussed 2023 and 2024, direct democracy (including our big wins in Ohio), schools, CRT, drop boxes, reproductive freedom and so much more with Democrats, Republicans and Independents from Missouri to Florida to New York…and, of course, Ohio.
I enjoyed it as always.
WATCH the full interview here (and yes, from my sniffles and coffee sips, you’ll see I’m getting over a week with the flu).
Enjoy.
Thank you, David. I thought the C-Span Washington Journal show with you was excellent. I enjoyed listening to your answers to all of the questions, even the difficult ones! I hope a lot of people will read your book, and I hope you have more opportunities to do this kind of thing. You’re very good at it!
