Rolled out my new book this week, then had a wonderful 30th college reunion. Which left no time for painting.
So here’s one I did on this day three years ago: the cottage I spent all my childhood summers in.
No electricity.
No TV.
No cars.
We slept in the cabin on the right. Had meals in the small cabin on the left. Every dinner, packed with three generations of family every night.
Non-stop stories and laughter. Card and board games after, and on rainy days.
Perfection.
What a wonderful childhood experience! Lucky you.
Yes! We were able to give our kids a similar experience.... so important, learning to enjoy the basics together.
