Both the federal and state (Ohio) budgets are a disaster for everyday Americans.
To explore the impacts in detail, I had the honor to talk to Dr. Amy Acton—the Democratic candidate for Ohio governor—on how these budgets run counter to everything she is hearing from people as she travels the state, as well as her own priorities to turn around the state.
She also explains how the nonstop attack on public education is personal to her (“public schools saved my life as a kid”), and how the 1:30 a.m. provision disenfranchising active and retired teachers from their own pension fund and other public ed attacks are a “travesty.”
“To remove the teachers from their own pension board—to not allow the people who earned that, it’s their money, be represented on their own board to help oversee it—is very very concerning, amongst all the attacks on public schools.”

I mentioned an independent poll that was done that had her in the lead over Vivek Ramaswamy. Here’s a link to that poll.
