I’ll do my best to provide updates on elections over the course of the day. Here’s a little post to get your day started off right:
In 2010, as I ran for State Auditor to end gerrymandering, I was once pulled aside and told: “David, try not to talk about gerrymandering so much. No one knows what you’re talking about.”
And I thought: “well, that may be the problem right there.”
I admit, I’ve never stopped talking about it.
Today, in Ohio, people know so much about it, even those doing the gerrymandering are pretending to be against it.
Don’t be fooled!
Voting Yes on 1 ends it!
Today is the day we slay the gerrymander and repair Ohio’s broken democracy.
It’s the day we begin to turn Ohio around.
Let us all know the results and how you Ohioans got it done. We need to end gerrymandering in every state. Interestingly, the Supreme Court decades ago refused to consider gerrymandering as a properly justiciable issue because it's political. As if everything else that the court (sic) today takes isn't political. They gave Dubya the WH in 2000 and the most corrupt individual to ever infest out politics broad and deep immunity. If these ain't political, I'd eat my hat if I had one.
Excellent, David. As I walked home from my polling place here in hopefully blue Connecticut I saw a lawn sign that said “Elect Jesus Christ As Your Lord and Savior.” I wondered to whom it referred???
