I agree. When he openly defied that court order that was our sign. This is no longer a democracy and it's open season on any immigrant. I have a green card and am now concerned about whether ICE will come knocking at my door because of my opinions on this regime.
The courts need to enforce their own decisions. The US Marshals are part of the DOJ so they won’t do anything, but the judge has the ability to marshal the police, and bring into court those individuals who defy court orders. These are civil cases, and they cannot be pardoned by this felonious President.
"Anything but swift and robust accountability by the courts—accountability that, finally, puts the fear of God in these lawbreakers—will lead to the same result for the nation." The problem is, of course, the courts can't enforce their decisions and impeachment is never going to happen. This is what, week 8? It is going to get so much worse especially after April 2 when the global reciprocal tariffs hit. Whether it's intentional or not, tanking the economy will only make it easier to tear down our democracy.
"Judges across this country must learn the lesson." With all due respect, Mr. Pepper, I disagree with that assessment. It is not Judges who must learn the lesson, it is VOTERS! Over the past 40 to 50 years, our judicial system has been compromised. Anyone even slightly paying attention has seen it. And the only way to address it is with the VOTE. And that vote must be overwhelming. To negate the certain cheating that will - again - be present. We Must VOTE!!
